And The Winner Is...

It's been a busy summer for our pal Rocky! Thanks to our great listeners, he's been able to visit 19 states and 6 different countries. In all, he traveled 72,234 miles! He was able to see some amazing sites, from the largest home in the United States to a fabulous castle in Switzerland and the famous Stonehenge in England!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in Rocky's Roadtrip! While we would have loved to give an MP3 player to every kid who entered, we had to draw one winner.

A big congratulations goes out to 13-year-old Bethany from Hemlock, New York!We know Rocky had a great time with you and your pet chicken, Scarlet!

Thanks again to everyone who entered - we had so much fun watching where Rocky would pop up next. If you'd like to see his journey for yourself, be sure to take a look at Rocky's Roadmap!

Rob & Rocky ...

We've had a ton of fun with Rocky's Roadtrip this summer, and a few of our artists have too! Take a look at this video to see who Rocky was able to spend some time with in Alabama!

(watch video online)

A big thanks to Rob Biagi and the kids at this VBS for allowing Rocky to spend a little time at your church! Rocky has also been spotted recently in Switzerland and at the Mackinaw Bridge (WAY up north in Michigan). Has Rocky been to your state yet? Find out when you view his roadmap!

We've got just a few weeks left with Rocky's Roadtrip, so be sure to get your pictures to us as soon as you can. Don't forget, every kid who sends us a picture will get a HisKids.net wristband, and will also be entered into the grand prize drawing at the end of the summer - you could win an MP3 player full of HIS KIDS RADIO music, stories, and videos!

Summer Camp ...

Many kids go to camp during summer vacation. And camps come in all different shapes and sizes.

This week during basketball camp, I had a chance to meet listener Kaeleigh from Grand Rapids, MI! Kaeleigh is 8 years old (soon to be 9) and is a huge fan of HIS KIDS RADIO and HisKids.net. Her absolute favorite programs are Adventures in Odyssey and The Pond!

Have you had a chance to go to a camp this summer? If so, let us know through our web site. You could tell us about the cool people you've been able to meet, the fun you've had, and what you might have learned about God and His Word.

And if you're still planning the rest of your vacation, please be sure to include Rocky, our mascot at Cornerstone University. You can learn about Rocky's Roadtrip and all our free prizes at http://hiskids.net/rocky

Rocky Heads West...

Rocky's Roadtrip has gotten off to a fantastic start! Thanks to some of our radio friends, he's been able to spend some time in Colorado and California!

Over the weekend, we received a great photo from six-year-old Haley. She lives in New Mexico, but was able to take Rocky on her vacation to Colorado! Here they are at Great Sand Dunes National Park. We'll be sending her an official HisKids.net wristband, and she'll also be entered into our weekly and grand prize drawings!

Rocky also made his way to BEAUTIFUL Paradise, California - the home of Mr. Nick from We Kids!

We hope you'll do your part to help Rocky get to all 50 states and beyond this summer! Click here to learn more about Rocky's Roadtrip and to read the official Roadmap!

Rocky's Roadtrip...

Summertime is a great time to get out and see the sights - from coast to coast, there are a lot of fun places to visit! Since we'll be spending most of the summer in Michigan keeping HIS KIDS RADIO on the air and online, we're hoping our listeners will bring our pal Rocky on their summer vacations during Rocky's Roadtrip!

Our goal is to get Rocky to each one of the 50 states between now and September 1. Here's how you can help:
  1. Simply print, color, and cut out Rocky.
  2. Take him along as you travel around town or during your travels this summer.
  3. Snap a digital photo of you and your family with Rocky and upload it to our web site.
  4. Visit HisKids.net often to see if Rocky has met his goal of traveling to each of the 50 United States and beyond by the time summer is over!
Everyone who enters will receive a cool wristband from HisKids.net and be put into a weekly prize drawing.

One grand prize winner will also be drawn and announced on HIS KIDS RADIO over Labor Day weekend (Sept 5-7, 2009).

Feel free to share more than one picture and share this with others to encourage them to help with Rocky's Roadtrip!

Bonus prizes will go to the first person to send us a picture of Rocky by the world's largest baked potato (Blackfoot, Idaho), the world's largest cowboy hat & boots (Seattle, Washington), or the world's largest snowman (White Bear Lake, Minnesota)!

We can't wait to see what fun places Rocky visits this summer! Feel free to share more than one picture, and share this with others to encourage them to help with Rocky's Roadtrip!
