Rob & Rocky ...

We've had a ton of fun with Rocky's Roadtrip this summer, and a few of our artists have too! Take a look at this video to see who Rocky was able to spend some time with in Alabama!

(watch video online)

A big thanks to Rob Biagi and the kids at this VBS for allowing Rocky to spend a little time at your church! Rocky has also been spotted recently in Switzerland and at the Mackinaw Bridge (WAY up north in Michigan). Has Rocky been to your state yet? Find out when you view his roadmap!

We've got just a few weeks left with Rocky's Roadtrip, so be sure to get your pictures to us as soon as you can. Don't forget, every kid who sends us a picture will get a HisKids.net wristband, and will also be entered into the grand prize drawing at the end of the summer - you could win an MP3 player full of HIS KIDS RADIO music, stories, and videos!

Do Not Be Anxious ...

As we mentioned on the air this weekend, our friends at Seeds Family Worship have introduced us to a new (and very cool) kind of music video. If you want to impress your parents tonight at dinner, try this phrase out with them - Kinetic Typography. That's the style of this video; we hope you like it!

Don't forget, the folks at Seeds are in the Prayer Chair this month! Check out some of their prayer requests here!

Easter Hope ...

As you know, Easter is on the way. For many people, it's a holiday about bunnies, jelly beans, and hidden eggs. But for Christians, it's about so much more - the resurrection of Jesus!

Our friends at VeggieTales are sharing this important message through "An Easter Carol". In this story, Ebenezer Nezzer is out of control! He's trying to make Easter bigger than ever by filling London with plastic eggs. In just one unforgettable day and night, Cavis and Milward (Bob and Larry) and a music box angel named Hope must convince Nezzer that Easter is about more than candy and eggs. This very special VeggieTales film explains why millions of Christians around the world celebrate Easter past, present, and future.

Listen for your chance to win this special story on DVD when we play PhoneTag on HIS KIDS RADIO, or enter the Song Request Contest at HisKids.net!

And don't forget to listen to the VeggieTales Easter Carol Radio Special, starting April 10, on HIS KIDS RADIO!

Prayer Requests from Uncle Charlie Bancroft

This month, Uncle Charlie Bancroft is in the HIS KIDS RADIO Prayer Chair! When we talked to him about how things are going, here's what he had to say -

Q. How have things been going over the past year?
A. Right now, I'm praising God for allowing me to make a remarkable recovery from my near fatal car accident a year ago last November! I am about 90% where I need to be, and I'm very grateful for all of the prayers of God's children all around the country and even around the world!

Q. How can we pray for you and your ministry over the next few months?
A. There are a few things that you can pray for -
  • Please pray that I will be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to tour again very soon so that I can keep sharing the good news of Jesus with children and families.
  • Please pray that God will take care of me and my family financially. Right now, I am not able to make any money from touring. God is a big God, and promises to provide for our needs!
  • Please pray that God will use me in a most powerful way after the accident. I know God wants me here for a reason, as I am a miracle to be alive. I want God to shine through me as I take advantage of a new opportunity to share his love!
Q. Is there anyone else we can pray for?
A. Sure!

  • Please pray for my wife Tammy as she continues to help me walk through my recovery. She has been my steady rock and I thank God for her encouragement and patience as I try to heal up. Pray that God will give her strength - all of the ups and downs of recovery can be very draining!
  • Please pray for my new praise team. I have a new singer and three wonderful dancers/choreographers that help make our concerts very exciting and full of energy! They'll need God's strength and grace as they try to find time to practice and as they try to keep up with all of our travels when we get going.
  • Please pray for every child who gets to hear my music, that God will use our songs to speak to their hearts and get them excited about living for Him!
As mentioned above, Uncle Charlie was in a very serious car accident a little over a year ago. By all earthly accounts, he shouldn't have survived, but God protected him. Since then, he has a very important message to share about God's plan for each of our lives. Take a look at these videos to see what we mean!

This Week's Winner...

This week's Question of the Week asked which classic Christmas cartoon is your favorite. It may have been the most competitive question yet! When the dust (maybe Pig Pen's dust?) settled, A Charlie Brown Christmas came out on top with 34% of the vote.

At the last minute, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer dashed ahead of the Grinch to claim second place, and Frosty the Snowman melted in at number four.

Here's a clip from Charlie Brown to help us remember the real reason for the Christmas season. Don't forget to vote on this week's poll - it's a sweet one! :)

God Rocks is in the Prayer Chair!

This month, our friends from God Rocks! are in the HIS KIDS RADIO Prayer Chair! They're finishing up a very busy year of music and ministry to kids in North America and around the world!

  • In 2008 God Rocks! successfully raised money to build a NEW SCHOOL and install a fresh water well for children in Kabwe, Zambia. Pray that God will bless these children, many who have no mother or father to care for them. Pray that they will grow up to be strong and healthy and will learn not only their 1-2-3's and A-B-C's but also about how much God loves them.
  • God Rocks! performed many LIVE CONCERTS this past year where hundreds of boys and girls prayed and became followers of Jesus for the first time! Pray that these children will continue to grow strong in the Lord as they learn to trust and obey him day by day.
  • God Rocks! will be partnering with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to share the message of Jesus at more then 20 exciting community events in the United States and Canada in 2009. Pray that God will bless the Rev. Franklin Graham and God Rocks! as they share God's love with many thousands of boys and girls who attend these special events.
  • Please pray for God Rocks! as they travel many thousands of miles across North America in 2009 to share the Good News of God's love with children everywhere. Pray for good health and for safety as they drive, fly and perform.
Be sure to keep listening to HIS KIDS RADIO to hear the music of God Rocks!, including great holiday songs from their Rock-A-Bye Christmas project. And don't forget about the God Rocks Christmas Coloring Contest - where every kid who enters gets a prize!

Set Sail for Adventure with VeggieTales!

This month during PhoneTag and the Song Request Contest, we'll be passing out some perfectly piratey prizes, the latest DVD from VeggieTales, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything!

Larry the Cucumber, Mr. Lunt, and Pa Grape find themselves on the ride of their lives when they are mysteriously whisked back to the time when pirates ruled the high seas. As they help a brave princess rescue her brother from a dastardly pirate villain, they battle evil cheese curls, giant rock monsters, and their own fears to become the most unlikely heroes you've ever seen.

Listen in for your opportunity to dial in and win when we play PhoneTag on HIS KIDS RADIO, or enter to win during the Song Request Contest!

And if you can't get enough of those crazy pirates, check out the Veggie Pirates website for fun downloads, coloring pages, videos, games, and more (including lessons on how to talk like a pirate)!

Brent Weber is in the Prayer Chair!

Brent Weber is in the HIS KIDS RADIO Prayer Chair for the month of November. He's busily working on a few new projects, and already getting prepared for another full summer of concert ministry in 2009!

On top of being one of our favorite musicians, he's also a children's pastor at his church and a father of three.

As you're praying for Brent this month, here are a few requests to keep in mind:
  • Brent's crew is finishing up the recording and making a new DVD. Please pray that all of the technical and logistic issues go as planned - they're on a very tight schedule to get everything done.
  • Pray for wisdom on handling and caring for people in Brent's church who are going through tough times.
  • Pray that Brent will have peace as he deals with many hurting people in his ministry at church and on the road at concerts. It can be overwhelming to see all of the hurting people in the world; pray that Brent can remember and share with others the message that God is in control.
  • Please pray for Brent's family as they'll be traveling in the near future; pray that they will have safety and quality time together.
  • Brent already has a full schedule of camps and concerts for next summer. Please pray for the kids and families that will be at those events, that God will change their hearts and move them into a relationship with Christ.

Biagi-vision ...

Our most recent HisKids.net Field Trip gave us a chance to see Rob Biagi in concert at South Church in Lansing, MI. The next best thing to being there in person is taking a look at our latest video.

Farm Field Trip

This past week in our Question of the Week, we asked you where you like to go on field trips. While most of you said you'd like to visit an aquarium or zoo, I'm the kind of girl who likes to head on out to the farm. And since dairy week was a few weeks ago, I thought I'd go on a little field trip to learn more about milk.

Let us know what you think about our field trips, and be sure to share them with a friend!

Something NEW from Seeds Family Worship!

Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in a happy dance...because there's a BRAND NEW project from Seeds Family Worship!

Over the past few years, the folks at Seeds have helped us learn some great Bible verses by putting them to rockin' music. I know that their songs have helped my family learn God's Word in a really fun way.

Their new album is called "The Power of Encouragement". It features 10 fantastic songs, with words taken directly from the pages of Scripture. I've had the CD in my car for about a week or so, and my 4-year old is already singing verses like Psalm 55:22 and Matthew 28:19. Very cool stuff! :)

We appreciate the ministry of Seeds Family Worship so much that we'll be featuring "The Power of Encouragement" all month long! You'll have tons of chances to dial in and win your very own copy when we play PhoneTag, and we'll also be giving several away each week during the Song Request Contest.

And, since the mission of Seeds is to plant the seeds of God's Word into young hearts, they're making it super easy to share their music with a friend. Click here to learn all about their buy-one get-one free offer, and watch the video below to see how you can host the Seeds crew at your church for a fun night for families!
